Guidelines for Submitting Ratings and Reviews
You can share your opinions on products you've purchased, or about Marketplace Sellers you’ve purchased from, on Walmart.com. Walmart employees can also submit reviews, which will be identified by a Walmart Associate label. Regardless of whether your experience with the product was positive or negative, your honest review will benefit other Walmart.com shoppers.
By submitting a review on Walmart.com, you (i) agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, (ii) consent to any personal information in any Content (as defined in the Terms of Use, including for example, an image of your face or likeness, to be shared with Walmart affiliates anywhere in the world, and (iii) agree to comply with our ratings and reviews guidelines set forth herein, which we update from time to time.
Submit a Product Review
- From the Purchase History page
- Sign in to your Account
- Navigate to the Purchase History page
- Follow the prompt to review an item at the top of the Purchase history list
- From the Order Details page
- Sign in to Your Account
- Navigate to the Purchase History page
- Click on the “View details” button next to the order number for the product you wish to review
- On the Order Details page, select “Review item” under the item name
- From requests to review more items after you submit one review
- From emails inviting you to review the products you purchased after your order is fulfilled; use the links provided to access the review forms
- At the end of a post-purchase survey link printed on your in-store receipt
- From the item’s page
- Select Write a Review next to the Review Snapshot on the product details page
New reviewsdisplay on the website within 5-7 business days. If you have submitted a review recently, check back soon to see it posted to the site.
Submit a Seller Review
We offer two ways to submit a seller review:
- From the Order Details page
- Sign in to Your Account
- Navigate to the Purchase History page
- Click on the “View details” button next to the order number for the product you wish to review
- On the Order Details page, select “Review seller” under the item name
- After submitting an item review, you will be given the option to write a review for the seller that sold your Marketplace item
Product Review Guidelines
Please keep in mind the following guidelines when submitting a review for a product:
- Reviews must be in English*
- Reviews must reflect your honest opinion about the product
- Reviews should focus on the product and your experience using it
- Reviews should provide specific details about what you did or did not like about the product
- Reviews must not include:
- Content that is libelous, harassing, abusive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit or other similar language
- Content that is discriminatory or prejudicial with respect to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or other protected class
- Content that is wholly unrelated to the product reviewed
- Content considered as spam
- Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses, or other forms of contact information and personally identifiable information
- Content that you do not own or do not have permission to use
- In addition to the above guidelines, if you are submitting an image with your review, make sure:
- The image is relevant to the product
- The image does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets) or other proprietary rights
- You have all intellectual property rights in the image, and permission to submit the image as part of the review
Please keep in mind the following guidelines when submitting a review for a Marketplace Seller:
- Reviews must be in English*
- Reviews must reflect your honest opinion about your experience purchasing from the Seller, including, for example, the customer service they provide
- Reviews should provide specific details about what you did or did not like about your experience purchasing from the Seller
- Reviews must not include:
- Content that is libelous, harassing, abusive, obscene, vulgar, sexually explicit or other similar language
- Content that is discriminatory or prejudicial with respect to race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, or other protected class
- Content that is wholly unrelated to the product reviewed
- Content considered as spam
- Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses, or other forms of contact information and personally identifiable information
- Content that you do not own or do not have permission to use
*Walmart reserves the right to translate submitted reviews into any other language.
Consequences for violations
If your review does not comply with the above guidelines, or if we find that you have engaged in any fraudulent, or other non-compliant activity, we reserve the right to:
- Remove your reviews;
- Not publish your review and you will not be able to submit a subsequent review for the same product;
- Limit your ability to submit reviews;
- Suspend or terminate your account
Reporting violations
To report suspicious seller activity related to reviews, please submit a report via our reporting form for reporting suspicious marketplace activity: Report Marketplace Seller Activity - Walmart.com.
To report a harmful review, please select the “Report” option available to the bottom right of each review on our website.

Q: Can I edit or delete my posted review?
A: No, you are currently unable to edit or delete your item or seller reviews.
Q: Will my reviews be anonymous?
A: Your review will be posted under a nickname that you submit or, if no nickname is entered, it will be posted as “Walmart Customer”. We do not allow or publicize any personally identifiable information in reviews.
Q: Can I review a product that I have not purchased on Walmart.com?
A: No, reviews should only be written for products that you have purchased from Walmart.com.
Q: Can I review a seller that I have not purchased from on Walmart.com?
A: No, reviews can only be written for sellers that you have purchased from on Walmart.com.
Q: Can I rate a product without typing a written review?
A: Yes, you can rate a product by selecting the number of stars without writing a detailed review. However, providing detailed feedback is always appreciated.
