Marketplace sellers must list the condition of the home items they’re selling on Walmart.com when they create a listing.

Items Listed as New

• New: A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in the original packaging.
  • Must also be factory sealed, with tags (and include warranties and instructions for appropriate categories).
• New without Box (or) Tags: Brand-new and unused but without original packaging or tags.
  • Original accessories are included.
  • Instructions may not be included. 
• New with Defects: Brand new, unused, and functional but with cosmetic imperfections caused during production or delivery.
  • This could include missing threads, discoloration, label malfunction, etc.
  • Instructions and accessories are included. 
    

Items Listed as Restored

• Like New: “Like-new” condition with very light micro-scratches, invisible at a distance of 8-12 inches (arm’s length). 
  • Battery life, if applicable, must be 80% of the “like-new” equivalent or higher.
  • At least 90-days free returns.   
• Good: The item has slight signs of wear/use, including small scuffs, marks, scratches. barely visible when holding the product 12 inches away, and imperceptible to touch.
  • Battery life, if applicable, must be 80% of the “like-new” equivalent or higher. 
  • At least 90-days free returns. 
• Fair: Item may have visible signs of wear/use, including more significant scratches or marks, visible when holding the product 12 inches away, and perceptible to touch.
  • Battery life, if applicable, must be 80% of the “like-new” equivalent or higher.

Items Listed as Pre-Owned

• Like New: Perfect working condition with no signs of wear or usage.
  • Instructions are included for appropriate categories, and the item includes all product accessories and original packaging. 
• Good: Functions properly and has minimal signs of wear or usage (may have small scuffs, marks, or scratches).
  • Instructions are included for appropriate categories.
• Fair: Functions properly and has visible signs of wear or usage (which can include scratches, fading, scuffs, marks, and/or missing parts and accessories).
  • Instructions may not be included.
