She was once one of pop culture's biggest stars, but the tide appears to be turning on Katy Perry.
The California-based singer has enjoyed a stellar stint in the spotlight, achieving nine number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Despite her impressive past, the singer's reputation is now on the slide, a PR expert haswarned.
The shift comes after she blasted into the spotlight following her recent 11-minute expedition on Jeff Bezos's rocket Blue Origin, in an all-female-fleet that took off last week from Texas. However, the response was less than appealing.
Miley Cyrus' brother Trace went on a wild rant on Instagram, claiming the singer copied his sister's career, and even joked that Katy's 2017 pixie haircut was a copy of Miley's look four years earlier.
Joe Rogan then brutally tore apart the songstress for bringing a daisy with her on the space Odyssey. 'It shows you how quick the flight was, the dead daisy that's snipped from its life source was still alive,' he said mockingly.
So, is it too late for the California Gurls singer to resuscitate her career?
According to reputation expert Eric Schiffer, the 40-year-old's reputation may be 'beyond' repair.

While the space adventure has piled on the criticism against Perry, the backlash has loomed for some time.
For instance, Katy's X-rated comment about Orlando Bloom landed her in hot waters on social media last year.
The singer, who's been with the Lord of the Rings actor, for eight years, spoke about her love language in her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
'If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you've done it all, and you've done all the dishes, and you've closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d*** sucked,' she told host Alex Cooper.
'I mean like literarily. That is my love language,' the star, who was seen with Orlando and their daughter Daisy Dove, three, added.
Towards the end of the clip, Perry - who previously called Orlando a 'wild stallion' - playfully exclaimed: 'I don't need a red Ferrari! I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f*****g dishes. I will suck your d***! It's that easy.'

Katy's comments quickly led to backlash on social media, with fans complaining that men should not need sexual rewards for completing basic household chores.
Last year, the singer once again ignited a media storm when she collaborated with Dr. Luke on her album 143, despite Kesha's accusations of abuse against him. He has denied the allegations.
Now, the space mission has caused a slew of celebrities to criticize her, including Miley Cyrus's brother Trace, who went on a social media rant claiming she copied his sister's career.
Trace blisteringly laid into Katy, quipping that her supposed attempts to stay relevant 'didn't f***ing work, and now they're going to send your a** to space. Didn't f***ing work! It's not working. It's backfiring. Stop!'
'I first knew Katy Perry, though, and her team were lame as f*** when her career was first dying,' he joked: 'and they were like: 'Hmm, what can we do? Well, what worked for Miley? She cut her hair off and it broke the internet, and everybody freaked out and she bleached it blonde. We should do that with you, Katy!''
Mimicking a meeting, he said: 'Katy's like: 'Yeah, yeah, we should! Should we do it slightly different?' 'No, we're gonna do it exactly the same!''
He also alleged that Katy's 2017 song Bon appétit featuring Migos was swiped from Miley's previous career move to 'transition' into 'more hip-hop stuff' by collaborating with artists like Mike WiLL Made-It, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J.
Left out of the equation was the fact that Katy worked with Kanye West on the hit single E.T. in 2011 - two years before Miley collaborated with Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, and Mike WiLL Made-It on the latter's song 23.

Trace then accused Katy of trying to 'do exactly what the f*** Miley did and blow up. Guess what, it didn't f***ing work!'
He went on: 'And then they just tried some EDM song and some s***, because EDM's hot. Didn't f***ing work! Now we're gonna send your a** to space. Didn't f***ing work! It's not working. It's backfiring. Stop!'
One day later, Joe Rogan made a cutting remark directed at the California Gurls singer.
Rogan tore apart the songstress for bringing a daisy with her on the 11-minue odyssey. 'It shows you how quick the flight was, the dead daisy that's snipped from its life source was still alive,' he said mockingly.
On Rogan's podcast episode with comedian Tim Dillon last Saturday, the two sarcastically praised the significance of the short flight.
'It was very profound. I don't know if you've seen Katy Perry talk about it, but she's basically a guru now,' Rogan said.
Dillon questioned the duration of the trip, saying the women were 'up there what? 10 minutes?', to which Rogan chimed in to sarcastically add: 'Let's not minimise this. Let's celebrate female astronauts.'
The comedians added that they felt it was ironic for Perry and Lauren Sanchez to now be labelled 'astronauts' so soon after NASA astronaut Suni Williams returned from surviving almost 10 months stranded on the International Space Station.

Rogan and Dillon roasted the all-female crew for their over-egging of the impact of the flight.
'These b*****s seem fine though, these ladies,' Dillon said.
'Well, for now, let's not minimise this,' Rogan again said, with a tone making it clear he was joking.
'Let's not minimise the sacrifice they've made for a great nation, for the world, in fact. They're profoundly different now.'
Rogan implied that those fawning over the Blue Origin flight were patronising female astronauts, sarcastically noting that male astronauts typically have a military background and are hand selected to go to space for their achievements, unlike those like Perry.
Perry was also ridiculed for remarks she made on her scientific credentials ahead of the flight, including claiming to have been 'listening to Cosmos by Carl Saga and reading a book on string theory' at the same time to prepare.
'I've always been interested in astrophysics and interested in astronomy and astrology and the stars. We are all made of stardust, and we all come from the stars,' Perry said before the flight.
Following Perry's comments on her scientific skills, Dillon questioned on the podcast: 'What were her findings? That's my question. What did she learn?'
'Well, she brought a daisy, which was super important,' Rogan responded.
'It shows you how quick the flight was, the dead daisy that's snipped from its life source was still alive, was still vibrant.'
It's a series of events that have led reputation expert Eric Schiffer to consider the singer to be in a sticky predicament.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, he branded Katy an 'out-of-touch' celebrity who keeps making 'boneheaded moves in a desperate bid for relevance.'
He suggested that if she wants any hope of coming back from this, she should withdraw from life in the public for a bit.
'Katy Perry's reputation is vibe surfing the toilet drain faster than Blue Origin re-entered the atmosphere,' he said.
'Katy's entering an area beyond career crisis into career extinction with a brand now synonymous with faux-feminist failure.
'Katy went to space, but she still couldn't find her lost fanbase. Even her backup dancers may be distancing themselves.
'She went to space for perspective, but Katy may soon need a telescope to see her career from here.'
