Rebel Wilson has been on a health kick after over-indulging over Easter.

The Australian actress, who dropped more than 36kgs (around 80lbs) back in 2021 after a 'year of health' and some help from Ozempic, has again cut out sweet treats in a new challenge to amend her eating habits.

On Thursday, Rebel shared that she was on a long train journey and struggling not to indulge out of boredom.

'May or may not be on the train thinking of chocolate and ice cream' she began her post on Instagram Stories.

Rebel added: 'But NO I have not broken the challenge... but it is challenging!'

On Sunday, the 45-year-old -  who wore a bunny costume to host an Easter egg hunt - took to Instagram to reveal what sweet treat she will be avoiding over the next six weeks for a health challenge.

In July 2021 Wilson revealed about her weight loss journey: 'It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, "Well, you'd have a much better chance if you were healthier'. Pictured in February 2024

She encouraged her 11 million followers to join her as she cuts out chocolate and ice cream.

Uploading a brief video clip, the Pitch Perfect star said, 'Who's up for a six-week health challenge? I know I am because I've been really indulging over Easter.'

She added, 'And also, quite frankly, for the last couple of months and I really want to be a healthier version of me.'

Wilson captioned the post, 'Who's in for a 6 week health challenge? The challenge is to give up 1-3 things you've been indulging in lately (mine is chocolate and ice cream) and instead do something positive for your health (mental and physical) - so this week it's to write down 5 things every night that you're grateful for!'

The comedian added the hashtag: #6weekrebelhealthchallenge.

'So I'm going to give up chocolate and ice cream for the next six weeks. What are you going to give up?' she asked fans in the recording.

'Instead, each week I'm going to do something positive for my health,' the blonde filmmaker declared.

Rebel earlier admitted she had let loose over Easter, confessing she, 'may have had a dozen Cadbury Creme Eggs'.

'I am planning on going OFF chocolate tomorrow to do a challenge! Anyone with me? 6 weeks NO CHOCOLATE CHALLENGE starting Monday?' she wrote at the time.

In conversation with The Sunday Times last year, the movie star confessed about weight loss drugs like Ozempic and Monjouro: 'Someone like me could have a bottomless appetite for sweets, so I think those drugs can be good.'

Rebel previously said that her Pitch Perfect contract prohibited her from losing weight.

The movie franchise came to a close in 2017 and four years later the mother-of-one lost over 70 pounds.

In July 2021 she revealed on Instagram Live about her weight loss journey: 'It first started when I was looking into fertility stuff and the doctor was like, 'Well, you'd have a much better chance if you were healthier.'

'That's kind of what started it, that if I lost some excess weight that it would give me a better chance for freezing eggs and having the eggs be a better quality. It wasn't even really myself, it was more thinking of a future mini-me, really.'

And she spoke about it again with People in May 2022.

She shared: 'I only started thinking of fertility when I was 39 so you feel quite late but then there are women in their mid-40s who've been successful.'

Rebel added, 'Look at Janet Jackson, it's pretty inspiring,' referring to Janet giving birth to her son at age 50.

When she discussed fertility treatments with a doctor: 'He looked me up and down and said, 'You'd do much better if you were healthier.''

Rebel confessed: 'I was taken aback. I thought, 'Oh God, this guy's so rude.' He was right. I was carrying around a lot of excess weight.'

She reflected at the time, 'It's almost like I didn't think of my own needs. I thought of a future child's needs that really inspired me to get healthier.'

Rebel is now mother to two-year-old daughter Royce, who she welcomed via surrogate and co-parents with wife Ramona Agruma.

In regards to how she achieved her weight loss, Wilson focused on becoming more active by walking and doing high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with her personal trainer.
