Angellica Bell allegedly found opening up on her axing from The Martin Lewis Money Show on Celebrity Big Brother a 'cathartic' experience, that has allowed her to finally move on.
The TV presenter, 49, broke down during Tuesday night's episode of the ITV reality show as she finally broke her silence on the reports she'd been 'secretly sacked' from the current affairs series back in 2023.
The CBBC presenter cried as she confessed it had taken a 'long time' to get over and revealed she'd finally begun to feel like herself again during her time in the Big Brother house.
And according to The Sun, Angellica feels all the better for getting it off her chest after a 'horrible period of her life', where she dealt with the fallout in private, which she perceived as a 'betrayal'.
Her pals claim that while she hadn't planned on discussing Martin, she was glad she could now move on and hoped that she'd inspired others to be more vulnerable.
A source told the publication: 'Angellica felt like the whole thing was a betrayal and has been dealing with it silently this whole time. It was really cathartic for her to talk about it on CBB and it enabled her to really move on from it.

'It was a horrible period of her life but she has much more to look forward to now and she hopes that by being vulnerable on TV she has inspired others to be open with their feelings.'
Explaining what had prompted her candour, they added: 'Angellica had no plans on talking about Martin or the fall out from the show but over the past few weeks grew in confidence and felt comfortable enough to open up to Big Brother.'
Angellica became overwhelmed with emotion during the episode, as she admitted she felt like she'd 'found herself again', just hours before she was evicted from the house.
Speaking to Big Brother in the Diary Room, she said: 'It's probably the best thing I've done in a long time. Before I came in here, I was a little bit scared.
'The press were asking if I'd talk about the Martin Lewis show and stuff. It took me a long time to get over that.
'I'm so grateful to all the audience that messaged me about it and also to other celebrities who contacted me and stuff.
'It was those messages and support that got me through. That's why I wanted to come on the show to tap into my old self.
'It has taken a long, long time. I think I've found myself again being here. Every cloud.'

Angellica was a co-presenter on the show alongside Martin from 2017, but when the show returned for series 13, she was missing.
She was set to return to the show but was unceremoniously let go days before filming began.
The Sun reported at the time that producers claimed the axing was due to Angellica appearing on rival Channel 5's The Gadget Show, which has been rebranded to Shop Smart, Save Money, saying it was a conflict of interest.
However, insiders told the publication: 'Everyone is stunned by the move - no one saw it coming. Angellica has been an integral part of the show since 2017 so for her to be bumped off air with no warning is crazy.
'Staff have naturally been talking and find the whole thing really awkward and unfair, but Martin is trying to keep out of it as it wasn't up to him.
'Bosses say due to The Gadget Show's rebranding as Shop Smart, Save Money it's a clash of interest but in reality the decision had nothing to do with Angellica. Many staff feel at the very least bosses could have given her warning or an option as to which show she wanted to continue with.'
MailOnline contacted representatives for ITV for comment. Representatives for Angellica Bell declined to comment when approached.

The final six, Chesney Hawkes, Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, Jack P. Shepherd and JoJo Siwa have made it to the final.
Exiting the house, Angellica said she felt 'amazing' as she was greeted by cheers, before reacting in shock as hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best told her two more housemates would soon follow her out the door.
The star got emotional as she watched her best bits in her exit interview and opened up about struggling with the face-to-face nominations.
She said: 'It's never nice picking out faults in people especially when you haven't spent much time with them.
'I was a bit shocked by Patsy, she has been around a long time and she knows what she wants, whereas I let others have what they want.
'She always treated me like a child and not in a bad way but she wanted to look after me but I wanted to help as well.'
