And now the contestants, including big names like Alan CarrStephen Fry, and Paloma Faith, are being kept apart in a hotel ahead of filming.

According to The Sun, the celebrities are not getting any A-List treatment and have had their phones taken away as a precaution.

A source told the publication: 'The BBC aren't taking any chances with the contestants - even though they're household names.

'They are all holed up in a hotel together but they are being kept apart with a security guard on their floor at all times to make sure they're not swapping tactics or talking.'

They added: 'Some of them moaned about not having their phones but the BBC need to be sure they're not messaging or communicating on social media - so it's a total ban.'

Allegedly there is a production phone that the cast can use to speak to make a phone call to home, while accompanied by a chaperone.

The BBC reportedly want this series to be the most 'explosive' ever, hence why they are being so strict and not taking any chances.

MailOnline has contacted the BBC for comment.

But in a joint statement in April, they said: 'After 9 years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.'

Jon handed over £1.625million to Lucy when they called time on their marriage.

Speaking about the split, she told OK! Magazine: 'People might think I should talk about it because we were so public and everyone knew us as a couple, but I won't, and not because there's any animosity.

'We both agreed that while it might be weird for other people not hearing anything about it, we wouldn't talk about anything to do with the marriage or each other.'
