InHome service doesn’t require a smart device.
Delivery Into Your Home or Garage Without a Smart Device
If you want to receive deliveries into your home or garage and you’ll be home to let the Walmart associate in, follow these steps to set up:
- Open the Walmart app and select your Account.
- Select the gear-icon on the top right to open Account settings.
- Select Addresses.
- Select InHome preferences on the address you want to set up inside delivery without a smart device for.
- Under Delivery location, Select Kitchen.
Doorstep Delivery
Follow these steps to set up doorstep delivery:
- Open the Walmart app and select your Account.
- Select the gear-icon on the top right to open Account settings.
- Select Addresses.
- Select InHome preferences on the address you want to set up doorstep delivery for.
- Under Delivery location, Select Doorstep.
If you want to add additional instructions for your InHome orders, follow these steps:
- Open the Walmart app and select your Account.
- Select the gear-icon on the top right to open Account settings.
- Select Addresses.
- Select InHome preferences on the address you want to update instructions for.
- Under Delivery instructions, select Add instructions or gate code.
- Select Property type (optional).
- Enter the gate code or call box code if you live in a gated community.
- Enter any specific delivery instructions you want Walmart associate to follow.
- Select Finish Set Up.
You can also set up this delivery preference during the checkout process when you’re placing an InHome order. Select Edit on the Review Order page to open InHome preferences.
