An interior designer has detailed the dos and don'ts of a seasonal refresh for your home - and it isn't all about florals for spring.
Kelly Hoppen, who appeared on Dragons' Den, has just launched her second homeware collaboration with Marks & Spencer - a sleek and sophisticated monochrome edit.
But the interior decor guru has revealed that there are very simple ways to refresh your home for the new season, most of which can be done without breaking the bank.
She detailed how to make best use of the items already in your home, adding just one or two new pieces to spruce up for spring.
Ms Hoppen told The Mirror that you can easily update your space with smaller pieces, such as new tableware and linen, while keeping core decor the same.
She said: 'When we come out of winter and go into spring, we shed a few layers. Your home is the same – now is a good time to move things around and add new pieces.'
However, she encouraged homeowners to make use of what they've already got.
'I’ve always said people should take everything off counters and shelves and move things around to give them a new lease of life,' Ms Hoppen explained.

'Then you can add pieces to that.'
Ms Hoppen also recommends that people don't fall victim to trends in their homes, and instead adopt classic colourways that won't go easily out of style.
However, when it comes to spring, she admits that florals are the way to go.
She said: 'Yesterday, I filled a Perspex trough with hyacinth bulbs and I put it on the kitchen table – it felt very spring-like.

'It’s little things like that, for instance using different flowers in a new season. The expression ‘spring clean’ is a real thing. You go through the transition and you feel different.'
Lastly, the interior designer encourages people to find their own homeware style.
She said people should pick an interior that they love, and imagine themselves in the space before committing to a new major piece.
