Britain's largest family The Radfords faced a nightmare start to their holiday after members of the family were turned away from their plane to the United States.
Sue and Noel Radford, from Morecambe, had booked for their large brood to go abroad to America, flying out together on Sunday from Gatwick Airport.
However, their daughter Millie, 24, was not able to travel with the rest of her family as her ESTA visa was not valid and she was denied entry onto the flight.
Her two children Chester, two, and Ophelia, four, also did not have the correct documentation, which meant that they also couldn't travel.
Millie's youngest daughter, Elodie, who is a year-and-a-half old, and her new husband Harley Passmore were eventually allowed to go to the US as their visa had gone through correctly.
However, father Noel stayed and missed his flight to ensure that his daughter and grandchildren were able to sort their forms out and get on the next available plane.
An ESTA is a form of online travel authorisation available to citizens from certain countries, including the UK, who intend to visit America for 90 days or less on a business trip or holiday.
Without a valid ESTA, travellers will be turned away from their flight at the airport, or denied entry into the States, which may result in being sent on a plane back home.

Millie called her mother 'super nan' for looking after her youngest daughter Elodie, who was able to get on the flight

Sue said it had been 'the absolute worst start' to their holiday, but later praised the TUI check in staff for 'trying their best' to reunite the large brood
Millie wrote on her Instagram story: 'Guys let this be your reminder to double check your ESTA because mine, Chester and Ophelia's had ran out and we were rejected on our flight to America today.
'Harley and Elodie were able to get on the flight lucky we have reapplied and they have all come back in time for us to fly tomorrow.
'My dad has stayed to help me thank God because we've had to travel hours to another airport from Gatwick.
'Hope Harley and Elodie haven't been too much hard work.'
Millie shared the update along with a screenshot of her tracking her original flight to the US, which her husband and daughter were on.
Sue also said it had been 'the absolute worst start' to their holiday, but later praised the TUI check in staff for 'trying their best' to reunite the large brood.
The family first found out that Millie, Chester and Ophelia's ESTAs were out of date when they attempted to check in for the flight and it had popped up that they did not have the required visa needed to enter the country.
'We quickly reapplied for them at around 6.30am in the hope that they would be back before the flight but it wasn't to be,' Sue said on her Instagram.

Luckily, the rest of the family were able to fly out the next day. Pictured Chester and Ophelia
'They even kept check in open until the very last minute and even allowed an extra 15 minutes but they didn't come through. So the decision was made for Noel to stay behind and get everyone on the flight the next day. They are now on their way.
'Honestly just want to really praise TUI as the staff on the flight and on the ground were just amazing.'
Sue then took an image of Millie's new plane, which TUI had called Alfie, a special name for the couple.
Alfie Radford is Noel and Sue's 17th child who was stillborn on July 6, 2014, after his heartbeat could no longer be found during the three-month scan.
The mother-of-22 added: 'Look at the name of the plane flying them out today. Alfie definitely watching over us.'
Millie called Sue 'super nan' for taking care of her 'little princess' while she remained stuck on UK soil.
Sue, who turned 50 earlier this year, then also shared a video of one of the children relaxing on an inflatable lilo in their pool as they soaked up the sun.
The family-of-22 are big fans of the US and have travelled there a whopping seven times over the course of two years to go on Disney cruises in Florida and the Orlando resort.

Sue put up an Instagram post of Chester and Ophelia that Millie had sent her in the airport
The Radford family were left in shock last month when Millie's new husband Harley suffered a suspected minor stroke, just days before they were set to celebrate Sue Radford's 50th birthday.
He was rushed into hospital after he experienced numbness in his body that doctors suspected could be a mini stroke.
The father-of-two, who married Sue and Noel's seventh child Millie last year, said he was 'glad to be back to normal' after the terrifying incident.
In the post, Harley explained that he had been told by doctors that he had Bell's palsy, which is a temporary condition causing sudden weakness or paralysis on one side of the face.
Following doctor's orders, Harley then took the next couple of days to 'relax', but soon began to panic on 16 March when he 'went numb' on his left side and had to be rushed to hospital.
There, doctors feared that Harley may be suffering a mini-stroke, since Bell's palsy is not supposed to affect the body.
Explaining the terrifying ordeal on social media, Harley wrote: 'Got a lot of people asking what was up. I went in on Sunday, they told me it was Bell's palsy so I came home and relaxed for the rest of the day and Monday.
'But yesterday my arm/ leg went numb and weak on my left side so I had to be rushed to hospital as they said that bell palsy shouldn't go to your body so they thought I had a mini stroke.'
After having several tests and scans, Harley revealed that doctors had confirmed he had not had a mini-stroke, adding that he was 'glad' to be back to normal.
'They kept me in over night last night to do tests/ MRI scan. So glad it wasn't a stroke at such a young age,' he explained.
