AOC slammed for putting on a 'illegal' webinar for illegal migrants on 'how to avoid ICE'

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is yet again under fire for releasing a video helping illegal migrants with how to avoid detection and arrest by immigration enforcement.

The New York congresswoman hosted a webinar on her social media on Wednesday where speakers gave step-by-step instructions to migrants on how to interact with federal enforcement agents.

It comes as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducts raids in major U.S. cities known to be providing sanctuary policy protection to undocumented migrants living in their jurisdictions.

President Donald Trump vowed in his 2024 campaign to conduct the largest-ever deportation of illegal immigrants in U.S. history once back in office – and he is making good on that promise.

Last week, ICE confirmed to DailyMail.com that it removed over 6,000 illegal migrants in the first two weeks of Trump's second term.

But AOC and other members of the Democratic 'Squad' in Congress are taking steps to try and help these criminals avoid being kicked out of the country after illegally crossing the border.

And critics are furious over it.

'Shouldn't she be punished for this as a sitting congresswoman??' one user on X questioned of the recent webinar AOC hosted on her social media account.

Another pro-MAGA account wrote: 'This is ILLEGAL. AOC is breaking the law. She is advising illegals how to evade ice. Lock her up.'

Ocasio-Cortez went live on Instagram last week and informed her followers: 'When one of these things [raids] comes to your backyard, you can resist.'

She claimed that if millions of people go against the raids it will 'create friction in the system' and while it might not stop it completely, the efforts will 'slow down' the rate of deportation.

And just one week after that session, AOC brought on others to conduct a webinar on her page explaining rights immigrants have to evade or obstruct officials trying to question them on their residency status.

A powerpoint presentation laid out to migrants steps they can take to evade enforcement and avoid answering their questions.

It also described tactics that officials and agents would use to catch them.

'These agents will go to homes early in the morning to make arrests,' one speaker named Genia said in Wednesday's webinar. 'They'll stop people on the street or in public places, which could include a public area of a workplace.'

A second speaker named Laura said of these agents tasked with round-ups: 'They either want to deceive you into thinking that they're not ICE, or they'll lie so you come to believe they do have a right to enter.'

AOC also went live on Instagram last week to explain to her followers ways they could obstruct ICE operations, saying: 'When one of these [raids] comes to your backyard, you can resist'

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), both members of the 'Squad,' have also provided information to immigrants and those seeking to help them evade federal officials and the new laws that govern them.

Specifically, Omar is hosting free workshops for those from her home country of Somalia who came to the U.S. illegally and are now looking to evade ICE and its deportation raids.

Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) is circulating a petition to deport the progressive lawmaker, who first came to the U.S. as a refugee when her family fled war torn Somalia.

'Friend, we should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country,' Gill said of his House colleague. 'And frankly, America would be a much better place if she were to be sent back to Somalia.'

He continued: 'It could not be more blatant: Ilhan Omar is more loyal to illegal Somalians than she is to the United States, or the office she was elected to.'

The Justice Department has already filed suit against Illinois, Chicago and New York City for their sanctuary protocols that work against federal politics related to enforcement of immigration laws.
