Commuter chaos after major incident unfolds on Sydney Harbour Bridge
A major incident on the Sydney Harbour Bridge has brought traffic to a standstill on Easter Monday afternoon.
Multiple emergency crews were seen on the southern approach to the bridge as traffic backed up for kilometres about 2pm.
NSW Police confirmed to Daily Mail Australia they had responded to a situation in the area but declined to provide a comment.
It is understood the incident involved self harm.
Traffic on the Cahill Expressway and Bradfield Highway in both directions is affected.
The delay is compounded by maintenance works that are being carried out on the bridge.
