Sydney light rail out of service after 'communications issue' plunges network into chaos

  • Sydney light rail temporarily out of service
  • 'Network wide communications issue' blamed

The Sydney light rail was thrown into chaos after all three services were temporarily out of service.

Transport NSW announced at about 9.30am on Tuesday the L1, L2 and L3 lines were out of operation.

A 'network wide communications issue' was blamed for the disaster.

Replacement buses had been organised before the light rail was up and running again at 10.10am.

'L1, L2 and L3 Light Rail services are running again following a network wide communications issue,' Transport NSW said.
