And after the bout Bellew was full of praise for Joshua, saying he has now reached the very top of his sport.
'He got caught up in Klitschko's mind games but you know what? All the questions got answered tonight,' he said.

'Anthony Joshua has just taken Floyd Mayweather's place as the king of boxing. He's showed the world what he's about. He threw everything he could at him. There's a new sheriff in town, take his seat on the throne as the king of boxing.
'I always believed it. He showed against Dillian Whyte he could do it. It's a heavy knockdown.'
However, Bellew refused to be drawn on speculation surrounding a potential fight between himself and Joshua.
'Listen, I cant say it no more, out of all the world heavyweight champions I had the better name (beating David Haye). I'm going to dance,' he added.

'It's not bad. Wladimir Klitschko deserves a lot of praise. He dragged himself off the floor, people questioned his heart, he showed so much. He beat the best Wladimir I've seen in six years.'
And he then addressed fellow Sky pundit Deontay Wilder, telling the American: 'You're a much bigger name than Joseph Parker. I'm a much bigger name than Joseph Parker. This is a big stadium but we have a big stadium up in Liverpool, as well.
'Usually when we sign contracts, they usually go my way. I like the sound of it.'
