By KATELYN CARALLE, SENIOR POLITICAL REPORTER and NICK ALLEN FOR DAILYMAIL.COM
Published: | Updated:
Three weeks from today, millions of Americans across the country will be heading to cast their general election ballots for either Donald Trump or Kamala Harris.
With 21 days to go, the race is shaping up to be one of the closest in history with a series of polls showing Trump gaining momentum.
According to a new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll, Trump is leading Harris with battleground state early voters by one point.
And popular betting platform Polymarket now gives the former president the best odds of winning six out of the seven swing states that will decide the result.
Harris also conducted an interview with Charlamagne Tha God in Detroit after polls suggested she is srtuggling with support from black men.
Follow all the developments from the campaign trail in DailyMail.com's U.S. politics blog.

Kamala Harris tells Charlamagne Tha God she's 'gonna' win the election
Kamala Harris is still confident she will beat Donald Trump in the 2024 election, but admits it will be tight.
Polls in recent days show Trump has gradually chipped away at her nationwide lead and the seven swing states are still a toss-up.
During her interview with Charlamagne Tha God on Tuesday night, she said the race will go down to the wire, but she will ultimately prevail.
This is a margin-of-error race. It’s tight. I’m gonna win. I’m gonna win. But it’s tight.
Kamala Harris refuses interview with ANOTHER prestigious media outlet
By Jon Michael Raasch, U.S. Political Reporter for DailyMail.com
Democratic nominee Kamala Harris has refused numerous interviews ahead of Election Day, and now she's denying one to an outlet owned by a former Democratic presidential contender.
It was revealed Tuesday that Harris's campaign rejected Bloomberg News' proposal for an interview in addition to CNBC and Time Magazine.
The company was famously founded by former New York Mayor and Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg, who ran in 2020 before dropping out to endorse Biden.
Donald Trump, meanwhile, participated in a town hall with Bloomberg Editor-In-Chief John Micklethwait at the Economic Club of Chicago Tuesday afternoon where he spoke about his tariff plans, his relationship with Vladimir Putin and more.
Trump responds to Bob Woodward book's claim he has spoken to Putin multiple times since leaving White House
Donald Trump on Tuesday refused to answer questions about whether or not he had spoken to Vladimir Putin after leaving office but then immediately muddied the water by saying it would have been a smart thing if he had.
The latest book by veteran journalist Bob Woodward claims that the former president has been in touch with the hardline Russian leader multiple times, speaking at least seven times since exiting the White House .
The allegations reignited questions about Trump's relationship with one the of nation's adversaries.
He was asked to answer the claims during an economic forum in Chicago .
'I don't comment on that, but I will tell you that if I did, it is a smart thing,' said Trump with one of trademark open answers.
Kamala Harris tells Charlamagne Tha God she is open to reparations
Kamala Harris believes reparations for African-American descendants of slaves ‘needs to be studied’.
It is a viewpoint the vice president has shared before.
Her response came up during her interview with Charlamagne Tha God.
She did not discuss how she would pay for any potential study beyond her intentions.
On the point of reparations — it has to be studied, there's no question
Exclusive:ISIS-K revealed to be behind Afghan migrant's Election Day terror plot as lawmakers demand answers
By Jon Michael Raasch, U.S. Political Reporter for DailyMail.com
ISIS-K has been exposed for being behind a thwarted Election Day terror attack by an Afghan migrant as questions remain about how he got into the U.S. without proper vetting.
Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, who was employed by the CIA as a security guard in Afghanistan, was shockingly arrested last Tuesday along with an unnamed minor.
NBC News first reported that Tawhedi was not a 'lone wolf' or a self-radicalized terrorist, but inspired by ISIS-K according to U.S. officials.
The terror group is the Afghanistan branch of the Islamic organization that carried out the Russian concert hall massacre and the 2021 Afghanistan Abbey Gate suicide bombing that left 13 U.S. service members dead.
They were arrested in rural Oklahoma while purchasing automatic assault weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition while allegedly planning an alleged massacre scheduled for Election Day, the Justice Department revealed last week.
But lawmakers have heard hardly any details about the plot from the FBI or Department of Homeland Security (DHS), prompting them to grow frustrated with the lack of clarity on the terrorist plot that could've proved disastrous.
Charlamagne Tha God asks Kamala Harris why the U.S. is sending money overseas when Americans 'desperately need it'
The first question from Charlamagne Tha God in his interview with Kamala Harris involved why the U.S. is sending so much money overseas when Americans ‘desperately need it’.
Charlamagne Tha God: 'Why are we sending money to other countries when we desperately need it in our own country, for homeless, housing, resources, for whatever? That is my determining factor if I vote for Kamala...'
Kamala Harris: 'We can do it all ... I maintain very strongly America should never pull ourselves away from our responsibility as a world leader, and that is in the best interest of our national security and each one of us as Americans and our standing in the world.'
Kamala Harris praises her SNL caricature in Charlamagne Tha God radio event
Kamala Harris has been a victim of Saturday Night Live’s merciless mockery in the first two episodes of the season.
But the vice president didn’t seem bothered by the jokes in her interview with Charlamagne Tha God on Tuesday night.

CBS embroiled in ANOTHER scandal as Speaker Mike Johnson accuses network of deceptive editing
By Jon Michael Raasch, U.S. Political Reporter for DailyMail.com
Speaker Mike Johnson is claiming that CBS News has dishonestly edited his Face the Nation interview to make him look bad.
The accusation comes just a week after the network was also widely accused of manipulating its 60 Minutes interview with Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in order to help her.
The speaker posted side-by-side clips on his social media showing glaring disparities in what made the TV cut during the Sunday Face the Nation interview and his much longer response that wasn't aired.
He is accusing CBS of specifically editing out answers he gave about Hurricane Helene damage and FEMA money as well as the threat of illegal migrants voting in the election.
Harris three points up in new poll
Kamala Harris has a three point lead over Donald Trump in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
The Democrat leads the Republican by 45 percent to 42 percent.
The gap between the two remained steady compared with a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted a week earlier.
In the new poll, which closed on Sunday, there were signs that voters - particularly Democrats - might be more enthused about this year's election than they were ahead of the 2020 one.
Breaking:ISIS-K directed Afghan who plotted Election Day terrorist attack
ISIS-K was reportedly directing an Afghan man who planned a terrorist attack on Election Day, but was thwarted by the FBI.
Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, 27, had been a security guard for the CIA in Afghanistan, NBC News first reported last week.
The Justice Department said Tawhedi 'conspired and attempted to provide material support to ISIS and obtained firearms and ammunition to conduct a violent attack on U.S. soil in the name of ISIS.'
He is accused of plotting to purchase automatic assault riffles, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and several magazines but was stopped after authorities broke up the deal.
Tawhedi entered the U.S. on September 9, 2021 on a special immigrant visa.
He was arrested last Monday with an unnamed alleged co-conspirator, who is a juvenile relative.
Exclusive:Does Taylor Swift or Joe Biden better represent Pennsylvania? Swing state voters weigh in
'Scranton Joe' is living up to his nickname as voters in Pennsylvania say that President Joe Biden better represents their state than Taylor Swift.
Polling done exclusively for DailyMail.com by J.L. Partners found that 48 percent of likely voters in the critical swing state said Biden better represents them.
A much smaller 17 percent gave the distinction to the 34-year-old megastar. Another 35 percent said they didn't know.
Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania and then moved to Delaware, a state he would represent for 36 years in the U.S. Senate before becoming vice president and later president.
Trump's odds increase of 2024 victory over Kamala
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Donald Trump broke yet another record in his odds against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Polymarket gives Trump a 57.7 percent chance of winning the 2024 presidential election and Harris a 41.9 percent chance.
The latest is an increase from even earlier on Tuesday morning when the odds were in Trump’s favor at 56.5 percent to 43.1 percent.
Polls this week are looking bleak for Harris as her lead against the former president either diminishes or completely disappears depending on the survey service.
Trump leading Kamala among early voters in battleground states
A new Harvard CAPS/Harris poll reveals that Donald Trump is leading Kamala Harris with battleground state early voters.
According to Americans who plan to vote early, 48 percent said they'd be backing Trump while 47 percent said Harris.
Although Trump is up by just one point, it spells trouble for Harris since Democratic early voters have usually dominated early mail-in ballots.
All eyes will be on the crucial states of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina and Nevada on November 5.
With just three weeks left until the election, the candidates are hitting all seven swing states for campaign events as they kick into high-gear.
Kamala Harris doubles down on pro-weed stance in bid to win over black male voters
With only 21 days left until the election, Kamala Harris is trying to get black men on her side.
It's a demographic the VP is having trouble winning over, a voter block that traditionally votes Democrat but is not enthusiastic about Harris.
She posted on X: 'No one should go to jail for smoking weed.'
This week, she launched a series of measures to shore up the votes of black men amid fears they may not turn out for her on Election Day.
It comes as polls showed her level of support among black men lower than that of Joe Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.
A New York Times poll last week showed 70 per cent of black male voters backing Harris, and 20 percent Donald Trump.
That's down compared to the 85 percent support that Joe Biden enjoyed from the same demographic in 2020.
Christine Baranski will take 'Polish Americans for Harris-Walz' bus tour through Northeastern PA
By Nikki Schwab, Chief Campaign Correspondent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Actress Christine Baranski - of The Good Wife and The Good Fight fame - will be hopping on the campaign trail Wednesday to join a 'Polish-Americans for Harris-Walz' bus tour through Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Baranski will appear in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as the Keystone State increasingly becomes must-win for Vice President Kamala Harris or her opponent, former President Donald Trump.
There are around 800,000 Polish-Americans who live in Pennsylvania, many of them clustered around Wilkes-Barre and Scranton.
Harris has previously pushed to Polish-Americans that Poland could be threatened by Russian President Vladimir Putin if Trump is elected.
During the September debate she argued that Trump would sell out Ukraine to Russia - and Poland would be next.
Baranski echoed the sentiment in an interview with the Times Leader, Wilkes-Barre's newspaper.
'The Polish people are heroic, as are the Ukrainians,' Baranski said. 'And Trump is so friendly with Putin, who has directed that Russian oppression, Trump would probably prefer ending that war by giving Putin Ukraine. That prospect has Polish people everywhere living in fear.'
Trump keeps closing the gap with Kamala – but still trails the VP
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Kamala Harris’ lead over Donald Trump continues to dwindle with each new poll.
The vice president is ahead of her Republican rival 50 percent to 46 percent, a 4 percent gap that represents a one-point decline from Harris’ standing in two previous Morning Consult polls.
Independent voters are more closely split on the 2024 race, with Harris still beating Trump 46 percent to 42 percent.
And Trump, although closing the gap with Harris, still struggles with black voters as a whopping 83 percent plan to cast their ballot for the Democratic ticket next month.
Fani Willis' lover Nathan Wade is on Capitol Hill today for closed-door deposition
By Jon Michael Raasch, U.S. Political Reporter for DailyMail.com
Nathan Wade is on Capitol Hill as Republicans try and get to the bottom of his investigation into Donald Trump's 'election interference.'
The day before the deposition, District Attorney Fani Willis sent a letter to a top Republican claiming her former lover's expected testimony should not be happening.
Willis sent the letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, who had requested that Nathan Wade, a former prosecutor under her, testify in his role regarding Trump's election interference case.
Wade and Willis were famously entangled in a relationship that resulted in his leaving their shared workplace.
The Fulton County DA wrote that Wade knows 'privileged' information about Trump's case that cannot be disclosed, and therefore he should not cooperate with the Judiciary Committee's request.
Wade is testifying today before congressional staff.

Trump explains his often-repeated Hannibal Lecter rally riff
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Donald Trump explained one of his more odd rally riffs during a rambling answer to a town hall question on Monday night.
The former president often goes on a tangent about the fictional serial killer Hannibal Lecter when talking about criminal migrants who have come into the U.S. through the southern border.
At a town hall in Oaks, Pennsylvania, Trump ranted about how the 'fake news' doesn't understand why he brings up the fictional character.
He took the time on stage when answering an attendee's question about lowering the price of groceries to detail why he invokes the Silence of the Lambs antagonist.
Trump said talking about Lecter is easier than 'wasting a lot of words' to describe the 'sick puppies' coming into the country through the southern border.
Trump calls Kamala Harris' medical report 'really bad'
Kamala Harris has been given a health brief by her doctor, who gave insights into the VP's lifestyle and diet, on Saturday.
Harris' physician, Dr. Joshua R. Simmons, claimed in a letter that the Democratic nominee is in 'excellent health' and can stand the test of presidency if she were to be elected in November.
'She possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief.'
But Donald Trump disagreed in a post to Truth Social on Tuesday:
Kamala’s Medical Report is really bad. With all of the problems that she has, there is a real question as to whether or not she should be running for President! MY REPORT IS PERFECT - NO PROBLEMS!!!
Breaking:GOP gubernatorial hopeful Mark Robinson SUES CNN after report revealing explicit comments on porn site
North Carolina gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson has faced backlash after a CNN report exposed him for comments on a graphic porn site.
Now, Robinson is suing the network over its report, which claimed the MAGA-supporting lieutenant governor made the sexist and racist remarks.
The CNN report said he made a series of crude and concerning remarks on pornographic forum Nude Africa where he called himself a 'perv' and 'black Nazi.'
It was also revealed his email was registered with sex cheating website Ashley Madison.
Robinson has been married to wife Yolanda Hill Robinson since 1990. He has denied the reports and claims they are all 'outright lies' or only 'half truths.'
The lawsuit states that CNN:
Chose to publish despite knowing or recklessly disregarding that Lt. Gov. Robinson’s data — including his name, date of birth, passwords, and the email address supposedly associated with the NudeAfrica account — were previously compromised by multiple data breaches.
Trump maintains lead in Kalshi prediction market
Donald Trump holds the edge in the New York-based Kalshi prediction market, after making some polling gains in a tight race against Kamala Harris.
Trump now leads in the trading platform 55 to 45, holding the advantage ever since October 10.
Trump also holds the lead in DailyMail.com’s prediction model, after getting some positive polling in the crucial state of Pennsylvania. Harris continues to hold the edge in polls of the national popular vote.
Pelosi admits she hasn't spoken to Biden since she forced him out of the Presidential race
Nancy Pelosi has admitted she hasn't spoken to Joe Biden since she forced him to drop out of the 2024 presidential election.
Pelosi was a key leader in getting Biden to drop out of the race in July, following his massive failure to combat Trump at a debate and amid fears he would not be able to lead the country given his age and state of mind.
The former speaker of the House told the Guardian whether they had spoken since then, she said: ''Not since then, no. But I'm prayerful about it.'
Georgia judge issues ruling with major implications for what could happen after the 2024 election
A Georgia judge has ruled that county election boards will be required by law to certify the results of the election.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney rejected an appeal by a superintendent to delay or refuse finalizing the results if there are allegations of fraud or a recount.
Georgia, one of the seven swing states that will likely decide the election, was one of the centers of chaos in 2020 over Donald Trump’s claims the election was stolen.
The former president lost the state by 11,000 votes, but insisted there was no way he could have been defeated and blamed the outcome on widespread fraud.
In the end, Joe Biden’s win in Georgia was confirmed despite relentless pressure from Trump and his allies.
Election board member Julie Adams, who rejected a recent primary result in Fulton County, brought the lawsuit.
McBurney wrote in his order that election codes and laws are in place to ensure there is a fair and orderly process when the results are announced.
He added that the state’s constitution does not give election officials the legal right to refute the results once they are announced.
Top Kamala Harris aide says polls are 'horses***' as her lead narrows
One of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris' top campaign advisors called publicly available polling 'horses***' just as her race with Donald Trump tightens.
David Plouffe, a senior advisor to the Harris-Walz campaign and a former Barack Obama advisor, was adamant while speaking on the 'God Save America' podcast that the presidential race is closer than some surveys show.
'I can't speak to the public polls. I spend very little time looking at them... most of them are horses***,' the strategist admitted.
'Some of them may be close but generally, I'd say any poll that shows Kamala Harris up four to five points in one of these seven states, ignore it,' he said referencing the critical battleground states.
'Any point that shows Donald Trump up like that - ignore it.'
Exclusive:Sheriff doubles down on Vem Miller 'red flags' after MAGA 'lunatic' is arrested at Trump rally with loaded gun
Vem Miller was a 'lunatic' for thinking he could come to a Donald Trump rally with a loaded gun and several other 'major red flags,' said the local sheriff who is insisting he helped squash a third assassination attempt.
Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco doubled down in an interview with DailyMail.com about what led him to think Miller could have been plotting something nefarious for Trump's Saturday rally.
Miller, 49, was arrested by Bianco's department outside Trump's Coachella event when a shotgun, loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine were discovered in his vehicle during a checkpoint stop.
Trump's chances against Kamala improve in six of the seven swing states
By Katelyn Caralle, Senior U.S. Political Reporter
Donald Trump’s odds of beating Kamala Harris have increased in six of the seven key swing states with just three weeks until Election Day.
Bettors on Polymarket have Trump’s favorability growing against Harris in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Harris is only maintaining a slim lead in the battleground of Nevada at 51 percent compared to Trump’s 49 percent in the blue-leaning west coast state.
The seven swing states in question are where the outcome of the 2024 presidential election will be determined.
Nationally, Trump has gained 2.5 percent in odds of beating Harris.
Polymarket has the former president’s chances of victory at 56.5 percent compared to the vice president’s 43.1 percent.
The betting site is partly funded by early Trump backer Peter Thiel.
Prediction platforms often differ from the polls, which currently show Harris with a narrow lead nationwide.
Thomas Miller, a data scientist at Northwestern University, is predicting a landslide for Trump and Vance based on PredictIt contract prices.
Donald Trump abandons town hall Q&A to play James Brown and Pavarotti after two people taken ill
The first casualty was an inconvenience that halted Donald Trump for a minute or two while midflight answering questions about home prices, the border and small business.
By the time the second person collapsed in the heat of the overcrowded exhibition hall, the former president knew he had a problem. A few people at the back of the hall were making for the exits and he knew he needed to pump up the crowd. It was time for plan B.
'Let's not do any more questions,' Trump said to his audience in suburban Philadelphia. 'Let's just listen to music.'
First came Ave Marie, Schubert's masterpiece that is a favorite at weddings and funerals, as Trump stood center stage looking out into the middle distance.
Then came Pavarotti and James Brown. And finally, inevitably, the Village People singing 'Y.M.C.A.'
Kamala Harris' media blitz could come with a Joe Rogan appearance in frantic plan to win over male voters
Kamala Harris is reportedly in talks with Joe Rogan to sit down for an interview on his influential talk show, with critics noting the move is a sign of desperation for the suddenly lagging Democratic candidate.
The Harris-Walz campaign met with the podcast giant's team this week, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
However, no appearance has been confirmed yet. It comes at the same time Donald Trump is saying he is already scheduled to be on Rogan's show.
'Joe Rogan has to have you on — would you do that?' a clip from the 'Full Send' podcast posted over the weekend shows a host asking the former president.
