Ruby is a recurring character in Bistro Huddy. She first appeared being interviewed for a line cook-prep swing in the sketch Character Interviews, Part 2.

Personality

Ruby is shown to be reserved, often keeping to herself unless she has an interjection or is spoken to. When she does speak, she is shown to be straight-forward, confident, and sarcastic. She is aware of her own worth as a good and dependable cook in the restaurant business and is shown to take pride in her abilities.

She is usually quick to shut-down an interaction, preferring to focus on her work and giving a cold-shoulder to most of her coworkers. However, despite this, she has been shown to indulge in antics, schemes, and light-hearted conversations with her team. Overall, when it comes down to it, she's loyal to her crew.

Outfit / Appearance

Ruby has a short red bob, which she covers with a light blue paisley bandana. She has a nose ring in her right nostril and a sleeve of tattoos on her left arm. She is usually wearing her uniform, a white chef coat with the Bistro Huddy logo branded in black on the chest with her name printed underneath.

In her first appearances, she had neon pink hair.

Interview

In Ruby's interview, she wore a grey t-shirt with tears around the neck-line. On it, the quote "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." is printed in white with all-capitalized letters. Alongside this outfit, she wore a choker with a silver charm in the shape of a heart, and a golden chain necklace.

Holiday Party

During the holiday party, Ruby is shown wearing a Christmas-themed sweater. The torso of the sweater is black with the words "Get Lit" being written out in sequin above a sparkly print of a Christmas tree - which also has real Christmas lights and miniature Christmas tree ornaments attached to it. The neckline is red and the sleeves are white with alternating red and green stripes.

Relationships

Nicole

Ruby and Nicole started with a slightly antagonistic relationship, with Ruby shutting down Nicole's attempt at small talk about opening their own food trucks.

In their second interaction, the previously antagonistic relationship persists. With the two having a minor argument about whether the Back of the House should be tipped out. Nicole argued that Ruby has "free will" and chose to be a cook, implying that she should be satisfied with the base salary given. Ruby rebutted by pointing out how the Front of House wouldn't have any food to serve without them. Their interaction ends with Ruby suggesting that Nicole open an OnlyFans account if she wants to work for herself, to which Nicole sarcastically responds that she might.

After the previous interactions, Nicole and Ruby seem to have become amicable off-screen, as shown when Nicole tells Nico and Ruby that Joey ordered a "Cote de Boeuf for two" to which all three of them decided to spite him by arranging the dish to look like a "d*** and balls".

Later on, Nicole is shown to be friendly and somewhat fond of Ruby. When Ruby rejected Spencer's offer to take over as Bistro Huddy's executive chef, Nicole expressed her approval with an "Atta girl". When introducing Trick to the rest of the staff, Nicole introduced Ruby by saying "That's Ruby, she's awesome".

In recent videos, Ruby and Nicole are shown to have a positive relationship that involves a romantic interest. On several occasions, Ruby has spoken to Nicole as if she were flirting with her, to which Nicole shows little response. However, they were seen making out in the Bistro Huddy Holiday Party, demonstrating that the romantic interest is reciprocated on both sides and have had more romantic interactions in other videos.

Cheyenne

Cheyenne appered in a recent video where it is shown that she is Ruby's ex. She came to Bistro Huddy and was served by Nicole. Ruby was not happy to see her.
