Yu (Zoe) Zhu
Zoe earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting from UCSB. She has spent the last three years working as an intern for many of the top professional services firms in the world, including Accenture and KPMG, where she honed her analytical, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Zoe learned about the RPA project while she was an intern at Accenture, and it opened her eyes to the growing possibilities of robotic process automation in a variety of business application settings, including insurance, finance, and accounting. Zoe feels obligated to upgrade my technical skill set with analytical and programming abilities to ensure her competitiveness in the quickly evolving business world because she is aware that traditional jobs like accountants or bank tellers may eventually be replaced by cutting-edge technology like robotics and artificial intelligence.
The practical field of business analytics will be a natural extension of Zoe’s previous training in economics and accounting. After uncovering my talent in dealing with numbers, Zoe started to expand her analytical toolkit by participating in more data-centric projects and courses. When encountering R language in the Economics Data Wrangling course, Zoe was intrigued by this powerful tool that helped her transform massive information into a visualized chart with a lucid interpretation of trends, correlations, and predictions. Zoe has widely integrated analytics tools into solving real-world internship challenges.
The Machine Learning Project in UCLA MSBA program was an unique experience for Zoe to deal with real-world data and solve industrial challenges. The unparalleled industrial partnerships and connections available from the UCLA Anderson platform also are valuable networking resources for Zoe's future career. At UCLA, Zoe was excited to get involved in the frontier practice in the intersection of business and data science and leave lasting impacts on Zoe's future industry by providing data-centric insights and innovatively solving business challenges.
