Specialize In Global Management

Acquire the intellectual knowledge and cultural competencies you need to become a well-rounded and well-informed global citizen with the ability to examine management, operation and policy issues from a global perspective. The Specialization is offered to students in the full-time, fully employed and executive MBA programs. Requirements are customized to the curriculum and opportunities available in each of the respective programs.
Requirements by Program
 

The following requirements are applicable for FTMBA students.

116 units of global management electives from the list of eligible course offerings (4 units must be on campus or hybrid)
2International experiential learning experience
3Attendance at and written submissions for five CGM discussions

The following requirements are applicable to FEMBA students in the Classes of 2024 and 2025. The requirements have been slightly modified for incoming classes.

1MGMT 406 Global Macroeconomy (4 units - subject to change for the Class of 2026)
2International experiential learning experience, e.g. MGMT 458AB Global Immersion or MGMT 459E International Exchange (4 units)
38 units of global management electives from the list of eligible course offerings (4 units must be on-campus or hybrid)
4Attendance at and written submissions for five CGM discussions (3 may be viewed online)
5Final report on international experience

The following requirements are applicable to EMBA students.

1MGMTEX 421 EMBA International Business Residential (4 units)
2MGMT 458AB Global Immersion or MGMT 459E International Exchange (4 units)
38 units of global management electives from the list of eligible course offerings (4 units must be on-campus, hybrid or virtual)
4Attendance at and written submissions for five CGM discussions (3 may be viewed online)
5Final report on international experience
