Ryanair's sassy social media account trolls passengers and posts hilarious responses on X

Ryanair certainly stands out from its competitors for its cheap, no-frills flights, but it's equally established a prominent social media presence over its savage responses to customer complaints.

Over the years, the Irish budget airline has amassed a legion of fans on TikTok and X with its 'unhinged' replies to plane passengers who complain of hidden charges, lack of space or wrongly assigned seats during their travels.

The company also pokes fun at rival airlines, as well as its own service, on TikTok, where it boasts 1.5million followers and has more than 41.9million likes, making it the biggest airline brand on the platform.

With temperatures hotting up and more travellers taking to the skies, Ryanair's social media team on X have resumed their position of calling out customers, other companies - and themselves.

In its latest barrage of tongue-in-cheek tweets, the airline lightheartedly mocked a jetsetter who moaned of being assigned an incorrect seat.

Attaching a photograph of himself pointing to the adjacent wall whilst seated, the passenger, who is bald, wrote: 'When you book a window seat, but forget it's Ryanair.'

The airline took aim at the passenger's hairless scalp, writing: 'Turkey flight?'

Another flier accused the company of assigning them a windowless seat after they'd specifically selected a window view.

They wrote, 'Beautiful views today from the window seat,' to which Ryanair responded, 'That's a wall.'

A third passenger, who uploaded a photo of themselves standing on the tarmac in front of a Ryanair aircraft, threw a jab at the airline by blurring out the plane in the background, before sarcastically adding: 'My favourite airline.'

The company responded with an edit of their own, which saw the passenger's face blurred out while the plane in the background became the focus, as they added: 'Fixed it.'

Meanwhile, a train commuter, who appeared to have recently travelled with Avanti West Coast, uploaded a photo of their windowless F32 seat during their journey.

They tweeted, 'Looks like Avanti West Coast have taken a leaf out of the Ryanair playbook when describing "window seats!"' to which the airline smugly responded, 'Copycats.'

In March, Ryanair posted a tweet to its X account to tease passengers who have previously complained but have continued to use its services.

The company wrote: 'Good morning to passengers who said they'd never fly Ryanair again, but did.'

Meanwhile, Ryanair's social media presence has proved a particular hit with users in the US and Asia, who have called for the company expand its flight routes so they can experience the airline after discovering it on TikTok.

One posted: 'I will literally move countries just to be able to fly Ryanair.'

Another American user added in response to a video: 'This is great and I can't even fly Ryanair in the US.'

A third wrote: 'I don't live in Europe so I will never fly Ryanair but because of this account it's my favourite airline.'

However, European users are quick to keep their expectations in check, with several posting about cases of slow refunds, cancelled flights and bumpy landings.

One posted: 'Queen of TikTok but not queen of the skies.'
