Aaron Judge is not ruling out being at All-Star Game events as hurt star says he'll decide 'in the next couple of days' - after Yankees thought he'd stay put

New York Yankees' hurt star Aaron Judge has not completely closed the door on events at the All-Star Game in Seattle next week.

He is still recovering from tearing a ligament in his big right toe at Dodger Stadium on June 3.

Judge kept his options open a day after Yankees manager Aaron Boone suggested the star slugger was staying in New York for treatment. 

'We're still debating,' Judge said before the Yankees beat the Cubs 6-3 on Saturday afternoon.

'I'll have an answer in the next couple days.

'It is important to the fans, getting voted in and representing the Yankees. It's a special honor. 

'This is what the fans want to see: guys voted in to go to the game, participate and be there.'

'I think he's staying here to continue treatment and baseball stuff,' Boone said Friday.

Boone told reporters a day earlier that Judge has been jogging on an anti-gravity treadmill, as well as taking some hard toss batting practice.

The star outfielder has also been playing catch on the field. 

Judge did concede that it might best for his rehabilitation to stay put in New York.

'I can get treatment anywhere, but probably more here in New York, that's for sure,' he added.

Aaron Boone, whose Yankees team beat Cubs on Saturday, thought Judge was not traveling

'I can be here at the Stadium getting work done and that's the most important thing: Getting back on the field.'

Although he remains torn given the whole experience of the All-Star Game festivities. 

'I've always looked forward to picking the brains of other superstars around the game and asking questions,' Judge continued. 

'If a young rookie is just coming up, I'll ask how his experience has been. Or if it's a veteran, it might be their last All-Star Game and I'll get a little wisdom. There are so many different facets I enjoy, and to put on a show for the fans.'
