Rising 6th Graders

New Connections Opportunity

Dear Duluth Cluster Elementary Families,

We are excited to announce that Duluth Middle School will be providing a new opportunity for your Rising 6th Grader beginning Fall 2025. Your child will have the chance to select an enriched experience beyond the academic day with our newly offered Computer Science and Spanish courses.

Taking Computer Science and Spanish at Duluth Middle School will equip students with essential skills for the future. Computer Science fosters problem-solving, creativity, and logical thinking, while introducing students to coding and technology. It builds critical thinking and teamwork, preparing them for future careers in tech and improving their math skills. Spanish, on the other hand, enhances cognitive abilities, literacy, and communication skills, while promoting bilingualism and cultural understanding. Together, these subjects improve academic performance, boost confidence, and provide long-term career benefits by making students more adaptable and globally aware.
Applications for these courses will are on the Accelerated Programs page of our website and will be accepted through Friday, April 4th

We also invite you to attend our Spring Accelerated Night on Thursday, March 27th at 6pm, where we will discuss our new Computer Science and Spanish early morning combination offering as well as our comprehensive Accelerated programming options.

As a Nationally Recognized School of Excellence, Duluth Middle School is committed to providing a world-class experience for your child that fosters academic excellence, personal growth, and preparation for their future success in an ever-changing global society.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jimmie McKinley
Proud Principal
Duluth Middle School
