Kimber Myers Crooked Marquee ... its marvelous practical effects never seem like effects at all, even if an adult brain insists otherwise given the facts we possess about our world and the creatures that inhabit it. Rated: B Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Jesse Hassenger Guardian The soul of the movie isn’t particularly in the human/creature relationship at its center, but in the stunning craftsmanship that surrounds (and in the creature’s case, creates) them. Rated: 3/5 Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Ignatiy Vishnevetsky AV Club There’s something to be said for a movie that aspires to a sense of wonder in an age of stultifying digital possibility—even if the only emotion it ends up inspiring is an appreciation for the fakery involved. Rated: B- Apr 26, 2025 Full Review Sherin Nicole RIOTUS A live-action scion of Studio Ghibli, with all the blossoming wonder and iron thorns that come alive in those worlds. Olga S Beautiful cinematography/visuals. Quite slow-paced - reminded me "The Neverending Story" of 1984: about same pace, duration and style, and ma magical journey as well. Lovely traditional happy end :) . Great for kids/family watching. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars04/26/25 Full Review Leonardo F I loved the story and how everything culminated at the end with exactly what the story was creating. Beautiful story telling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars04/26/25 Full Review Tim Cute movie. Story lacks a bit. Great acting tho. Some really funny parts Rated 3 out of 5 stars04/26/25 Full Review Brenda Whimsical and nostalgic. Rated 5 out of 5 stars04/26/25 Full Review Donna C This movie was not one of my favorites or even in the really liked category. I felt no connection emotionally with anyone in the movie. Everyones acting was odd and the story was just weird. There wasn’t much to the story and not much dialogue in my opinion. There were a few funny moments, one or two sad moments, but nothing over the top emotional or funny. I didn’t mind the last 5 minutes, but that was it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars04/26/25 Full Review Kristina Magical story some fun and touching moments. Rated 5 out of 5 stars04/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
