Blake Lively has found herself in hot water once again as fans have been threatening to boycott her latest TV gig, branding it as 'horrific' and claiming she 'ruined' the show.
The actress, 37, narrated National Geographic's new docuseries Secrets of the Penguins, which premiered on April 20.
It marked Blake's first major role since her messy legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni began last December.
But after the show started streaming over the weekend, some viewers were not happy with her narration, and they took to social media to slam her.
'A wonderful series, however, Blake Lively's narration is horrific,' one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. 'It ruined it for me.'
'I'm sorry but Blake Lively pretty much ruined the Nat Geo documentary Secrets of the Penguins for me,' shared someone else.
'She has a nice voice, but the way she reads the script, it's like she's reading to a bunch of four-year-olds. It's so slow, deliberate, and pretentious. I want to [throw up].'
'I'm not sure I can continue to watch Secrets of the Penguins. I was still in the intro when I Googled who on Earth was ruining the narration? It's Blake Lively,' added another user.

'Oh how I wish they made a better narrator choice for this series about penguins. Because Blake unfortunately isn't it,' read a fourth tweet.
'Her soft spoken, breathy tone is not what I want to hear as I watch and learn about penguins.'
'Why did they have to have Blake Lively narrate the documentary Secrets of the Penguins? Like ew,' scathed another disgruntled X user.
'I'm going to have to watch it on mute with the subtitles on.'
Someone on Reddit said they were unhappy that Blake 'anthropomorphized' the penguins, which means giving an animal or object human characteristics.
'The narration of the whole first episode just felt off,' they wrote. 'The entire first episode felt like she was anthropomorphizing the penguins.
'[She] even referred to the female emperor penguin as empress penguins, which I personally have never heard before.'
'I think Blake managed to ruin penguins for me,' one person replied.

The Gossip Girl alum has been embroiled in a bitter and extremely public feud with her former costar Justin for months.
It began after she filed a lawsuit against Justin in December, accusing him of sexual harassment and creating a 'hostile work environment on set.'
Justin, 41, retaliated with his own $400 million filing against the actress, along with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, with the brutal melee now scheduled for a trial on March 29, 2026. All parties have denied the claims.
