Definition: Crapware is software that is bundled with a new PC or other software package that the user is not fully aware that they are installing. It usually consists of poor quality utilities, games, toolbars and other useless software. Crapware authors will present confusing or cluttered installation screens that have the unwanted software scheduled to be installed by default or installed automatically. Crapware is usually not malicious and therefore not considered malware.
