Glue is a free browser add-on that automatically connects you with friends around things you visit.
Glue automatically recognizes books, music, movies, restaurants, wine, stocks and other everyday things on popular pages around the web. Once Glue identifies the thing it connects you with friends and other Glue users who visit the same thing around the web.
Glue is automatically active on Amazon, Netflix, Last.fm, Wine.com, Yahoo! Finance and hundreds of other popular sites around the web. Here is a full list of sites supported by Glue. Note that Glue is inactive on all other sites.
You can access Glue on any page via the Glue bookmarklet. It is typically located in the top right corner of your bookmarklet bar, but may be in a different place if you customized your browser.
Glue distinguishes between things you visit and things you like or comment on. If you simply visited a thing, it will show up in your 50 recent things. If you explicitly clicked the Like button or Add 2cents, then the thing will be saved into the list of your favorites.
By default all Glue users can see you in their Glue Bar. You can remove your avatar from any page by clicking Delete on the bottom of the tooltip that appears when you place the mouse of your avatar. You can also make it that only approved people (your friends) see you around the web. To do that, click My Profile, then Edit Profile link and check the Protect My Presence on. Please note that changing this setting will only have impact on your future browsing and will not change existing things that you visited.
On pages that you claim, Glue will will automatically show the Glue Bar with your recent things. Having Glue Bar appear makes it easy to show your friends what you've been up to.
To search for friends on Glue go to your Profile and click Following link. Then click Find people to follow link on the bottom, and choose Find users by name or email option. Alternatively, you can click here to find your friends.
