From: A.J. Mastrangelo,Storm Team 10 Meteorologist:
Steady rain alongside some embedded downpours continue through the first half of the day. Intensity may decrease during the afternoon briefly before more instability builds ahead of the trailing cold front. The boundary will sweep through the region after sunset, bringing an end to the rain. Most communities should record roughly 0.5-1.0" of precipitation.
Cool gusty winds rush into Southern New England on the backside of the low pressure. This will produce less than ideal conditions on Sunday as lots of low-level clouds blanket the region, winds gust to 35 mph, and temperatures are held in the 50s. However, the forecast is dry, so if you do want to attempt some outdoor activities, it won't be impossible.
