The symbols obscured are the zodiac signs, in order from Aries to Pisces.

♍︎ Virgo

♐︎ Sagittarius
♑︎ Capricorn
♒︎ Aquarius

Right now, only the signs of Aries, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius are shown.
And then
another gimmick is that the parts of the signs shown look like Roman numerals: V from Aries, I from Scorpio, V from Sagittarius, II from Capricorn, and V from Aquarius. So if we index these numbers into the names of the signs, we get S, S, T, A, and R; and noting the arrow at the bottom, the order should be from Scorpio to Aries, which gives us STARS. And of course the answer is also thematic.
