Board Game Club
Sponsor: Mr. Coleman, Mr. Riggins
When do they meet? Every Monday after school from 3:10-4:30.
Who can join? 20-30 students in 2nd-5th grade. Experience with board games is not required, but teamwork and good sportsmanship are!
What do they do? Help students build reading, thinking, and problem-solving skills through purposeful play. Students will collaborate and compete in board games of all complexities and skill levels.
Boys2Men
Sponsor: Coach Wilson, Coach Pearson, Mr. Wigfall
When do they meet? Every Friday morning after buses car riders unload in Coach Wilson’s Health room from 8:00-8:20am.
Who can join? 20 Young men who are in 4th and 5th grade based on teacher references and recommendations.
What do they do? The mission and goal of Boys 2 Men is to further build and grow the next generation of men here at Meadowcreek. Boys 2 Men is a club for young men that allows for 4th and 5th grade boys to have the understandings of what it takes to be a man in life. Through the club, the positive character traits the young men will also be able to further their own individual understandings of discipline, communication, respect, motivation, determination, and what it means to be a positive young man in life.
Chorus Club

When do you meet? Wednesday mornings from 7:00-8:00am!
Who can join? 4th and 5th graders can join during the fall and spring semester auditions! 3rd graders can audition to join in January.
Anyone (boys & girls) in those grades who loves to sing is encouraged to join Chorus Club! Auditions for students with signed forms on mornings of September 12th-14th.
Robotics Club
Sponsors: Jane Wysocki and Saronda Ore
Who we are? Who can join? The Robotics Team is made up of 10 students in Grades 4 & 5. Students can apply for the team in August of each school year. Team members are selected by a panel of judges.
The team meets 1-2 times per week from August through January.
What we do? The Robotics team designs and builds a Lego robot and codes it to complete missions. The team creates an innovation project each year and develops a skit to present their ideas. Then they compete against teams from other schools.
Student Council

Who can join? Student Council Officers and Representatives are elected by their peers in the fall of each year.
When do they meet? The council meets weekly on Friday mornings.
What do they do? Student Council discusses issues relevant to MES, advocates for positive change in the school, leads service projects, and serves as school hosts/ambassadors.
Girls on the Run
Ladies to B.E.E. (Boldly Excelling in Education)
Sponsor: Ms. Browning
When do they meet? Third Wednesday of each month
Who can join? 5th grade girls
What do they do? The girls participate in activities that help develop skills to build confidence and boosting self-esteem which helps to excel in education. The girls will be taught to use positive affirmations to motivate themselves and encourage positive changes.
Readers Rally
Sponsors: Alyssa Baughman & Hanna Tadesse
When do they meet? Tuesdays before school from 7-8 until the competition in February.
Who can join? Open to all 4th & 5th grade students, but only 7 are selected to go to the GCPS Readers Rally competition based on their performance in the club.
What do they do? Students read books from a list of 10 books that we discuss and practice for the competition using a buzzer system. We compete with each other to prepare for the county competition.
Art Club
Sponsor: Mr. Stamps
When do they meet? Every Wednesday after school from 3:10-4:30.
Who can join? 4th and 5th Graders who have filled out and turned in a completed Art Club Application .
Young artists will have the opportunity to use professional tools to create artworks that are help hone their personal artistic voice and find a place their art in our community.
Mustang Soccer
Sponsor/Patrocinadores: Hanna Tadesse, Trey Wilson
When do they meet? Will begin in September meeting on Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:10-4:30.
Who can join? Open to 45 fourth and fifth grade students. Students will register and 45 students will be chosen using teacher recommendations, school history, and teacher recommendations.
What do they do? The goal of the club is to not only have a safe place to learn and play sports, but to help increase students’ social skills, personal development, and teamwork through SEL activities and group play.
Chess Club
Sponsor: Mrs. Claudia, Ms. Kukua, Mrs.Quezada
When do they meet? All Wednesdays from 3:10-3:55 P.M during the whole school year.
Who can join? Students from 2nd to 5th grade with any level of chess knowledge.
The purpose of this club is to develop thinking and social skills while students develop their chess level as players. They will be divided by expertise level into beginners and intermediate. Beginners are going to learn the basics and compete against each other. Intermediate are going to improve their level and participate in a final tournament.
