My name is Ashley Coughlin, and I am the proud principal of Berkeley Lake Elementary. I joined this incredible community in March 2023, having served Gwinnett County Public Schools my entire career. I am passionate about providing children with a high-quality education. My teaching career began at Suwanee Elementary in 2007, and I've had the pleasure of teaching multiple elementary grade levels. In 2012, I became the Local School Technology Coordinator at BB Harris Elementary before transitioning to the assistant principal role there in 2014. I served as assistant principal until being named principal of Berkeley Lake Elementary in 2023.

On a personal note, I am married to Wil Coughlin. We are both products of Gwinnett County schools and met as students at North Gwinnett High School. We have two children, Lillian and Jude, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys. As your principal, I will always keep the parent perspective in mind.

I believe all students deserve to feel connected and valued within our school. When students feel known and engaged, we can better meet their individual needs and maximize their learning experience, helping them reach their full potential. I am fortunate to be at Berkeley Lake, as I know our staff shares these same values. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure our students have the best possible opportunities for success, both in elementary school and beyond.
