If those 14 were actually girls, instead of boys pretending to be girls, nobody would care if they played field hockey.
Fuck you. Fuck your union.
In general, people are too worried about what SOMEONE ELSE is getting, and not focused enough on minding their own business.
I couldn't care less how much our CEO makes. It is irrelevant to me. If I could get someone to pay me what she makes, I'd be doing the same fucking thing. She made about $12M last year. That's about 92x what I made. Good for her.
What I care about is what I make. I make plenty. I'm overpaid as far as I am concerned, but I'm hardly going to offer my employer some of its money back.
I'm not in a union. I do have a pension though. It's a lame one, but it is still there.
No, thanks.
They probably used a software development tool chain that they didn't write themselves.
Even if true, so what?
Next time, specify that the answer should exclude ampersand gobble-de-gook. It will help your response be more understandable.
I use Google because I have no reason not to.
Pay me $200/month not to use it and I will have a reason not to.
Note: I realize that others have their reasons not to use it, even without payment. Your reasons are not my reasons.
First post nailed it.
Except I wasn't talking about any of those other services. The story and the thread are about AppleTV+.
But even if you signed up for all those services, it isn't "big money" if you have any kind of decent job.
It's a few dollars per month.
Just how cheap are you?
I agree and that wasn't the comment I was responding to. I was responding to an argument that one is entitled to repay less than what one borrowed.
It's perfectly fine to educate people. The education has a cost. Why shouldn't the one being educated have primary responsibility for paying that cost?
If one is able to repay the cost, then one should do so.
If one engages in study that isn't sufficient to repay that cost, then that's a study that should not be at public expense. Such a person should study something that DOES provide the ability to pay that cost.
This is exactly right.
Together, my wife and I make just barely under $300K/year.
Our mortgage payment (with no money down): $1100/month.
Our car payment: $523/month (and there is only one such car).
Number of children: 1 (since we decided that's what we can afford).
Number of boats, planes, ATVs, quads, travel trailers and other toys: 0
Amount in child's 529 plan: about $85K (at 9 years old).
We also spend just under $20k/year on private school for our child.
You can afford college for your child, if you make it a priority.
Why?
Why should anyone be permitted to repay a loan in dollars that are worth less (and sometimes WAY less) than the dollars that were borrowed?
