The British Broadcasting Corporation (commonly known as the BBC) is a British public service broadcaster headquartered at Broadcasting House in London. It was one of the UK broadcasters of the James Bond films. The BBC is notable for having produced Happy & Glorious, a short film directed by Danny Boyle that was part of the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony titled Isles of Wonder that took place on July 27 in London. It featured Daniel Craig as James Bond and Queen Elizabeth II as herself. It was later uploaded to the official Olympics Games YouTube channel (simply called Olympics) on the same day as the video "James Bond and The Queen London 2012 Performance".
However, it is still unknown whenever the BBC would acquire the James Bond broadcasting rights if ITV's rights expired but there's still no word from the BBC's bosses at this time. They did, neitherless, once aired From Russia with Love in July 2007 as part of season of British films and programmes on BBC Two called "The Summer of British Film".
