Additional copyvios in a CCI
[edit]Per your request at Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/20210813, I looked at edits in the CCI after 2017. I've found a few:
- Indoor Shooting Range, Kollam (2018) from [1]
- Kollam Kite Club (2019) from [2]
- Kudamutti Falls (2019) from [3]

- @MrLinkinPark333 I think I wrote that with the thought that if there were newer copyvio edits I would block; however, skimming some of that editors most recent edits, they seem acceptable, so I won't block for now. I'll add a link to this conversation at the CCI. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk)18:14, 8 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Moneytrees, thank you for reminding me about the guideline regarding inserting source from another website and such. Just to make sure, quoting from websites and other sources are fine if they are reiterated/not simply copy-pasted?
Thank you very much! Leferk (talk) 08:37, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Leferk Yes, see WP:QUOTES for some advice and best practices. Let me know if you have any other questions. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk)15:50, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
- Also @Leferk, I had to unfortunatly remove some content you added to Opuntia aurantiaca. The cited source it was copied from, https://www.cabidigitallibrary.org/doi/full/10.1079/cabicompendium.37708 , uses a "non-commercial" copyright license; Wikipedia's license allows commercial reuse, so we can't include "non-commercial" content, if that makes sense. [edit]Mind blocking this IP? They are reported at AIV but continuing their BLP violations at Dave Smith (comedian). S0091 (talk) 19:04, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Blocked, thanks for reporting @S0091. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk)19:09, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- If you're still around this one could use a block as well. I just reported them at AIV but they have at been at for a bit. S0091 (talk) 19:37, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Never mind, taken care of. S0091 (talk) 19:39, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

Sorry and thanks
[edit]Sorry about my lack of care and c.v. error and for tidying up my mess on Gael Linn. I will try to be more careful in the future. (Msrasnw (talk) 17:14, 19 April 2025 (UTC))
- No problems, @Msrasnw, it's a pretty common occurrence; I think I've done something like that once or twice. Honestly, I'm pretty thankful when it ends up being a false positive when a high edit count editor shows up at Copypatrol... Moneytrees🏝️(Talk)17:33, 19 April 2025 (UTC)
Apropos nothing...
[edit]What's a real person? I've never seen one of those! Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 20:17, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Pickersgill-Cunliffe Not sure... did you know that there's actually only two real people editing Wikipedia? I have a lot of accounts

on socks...shoes...patterns?
[edit]Hiya Moneytrees- It was interesting to learn that I am a sock, especially when I felt so real :P! But we learn something new every day. I was thinking this was my first socking encounter, but forgot an intelligently named impostor from 2020. Good to see your username pop up, anyways. Any chance you're planning to attend WikiCon NA this fall? It's a bit early, but I thought I might pull up, now that I've really rediscovered the joy in editing after a nice 10 month break. Either way, I hope all is well, and keep up the good work as always. All the best! Eddie891TalkWork18:55, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hello @Eddie891! Yes, I'm planning on being at NCNA this year; I'd like to do a talk on functionary work at some point. I've been enjoying Wikipedia post-AC in a way I hadn't before, it's been very freeing. I've finally sat down and creating some (stubby for now) articles; I'm surprised To Purge This Land with Blood was never an article before, most of the books Oates wrote could get articles... Moneytrees🏝️(Talk)19:06, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Nice! In my experience our coverage of literature/books is quite limited and poor where it does exist. It's shocking to me that there are no stand alone articles for The Strange Career of Jim Crow, or the Memoirs of General William T. Sherman for instance.
- I am glad to hear that! Perhaps we will see each other, if I pin down plans to get to NYC then.. I always have good fun at these events. It's cool to put faces to names and hear about what everyone is up to. Eddie891TalkWork19:25, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
