Accessibility
The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is committed to making websites hosted on the InnovateOhio Platform accessible to everyone.
Ohio Administrative Policy IT-09, Digital Accessibility establishes minimum accessibility requirements for information and services provided on state-controlled websites and applications. These requirements, updated in January 2025, include compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines developed by the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Accessibility Initiative.
In accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Final Rule 28 CFR Part 35 Nondiscrimination on the Basis of Disability; Accessibility of Web Information and Services of State and Local Government Entities (Final Rule) state government web content and mobile applications must comply with WCAG 2.1 AA by April 24, 2026.
Compliance levels are described as:
- Level A: Meets all priority 1 checkpoints
- Level AA: meets all priority 1 and 2 checkpoints
- Level AAA: meets all priority 1, 2, and 3 checkpoints
This website conforms to the AA compliance level and many of the AAA success criteria of WCAG 2.0 and is working to conform to the AA compliance level of WCAG 2.1.
To ensure continuing compliance, websites hosted on the InnovateOhio Platform are periodically tested using assistive technology to improve usability and accessibility.
Report issues with accessibility, such as problems using a state website with a screen reader or keyboard navigation, to accessibility@das.ohio.gov. Please note that this email address is only able to respond to users reporting accessibility issues for people with disabilities.
