Hitachi Energy celebrates employees with appreciation event
BLAND COUNTY, Va. (WVVA) - It’s the beginning of a new fiscal year at Hitachi Energy, and on Friday the company took a moment to look back on last year’s achievements with a celebration, honoring the employees and staff who made those accomplishments happen.
“They are a tremendous workforce and it’s their hard work that’s got us here,” said Chuck Perine, plant manager of Hitachi Energy.
Perine told WVVA that Hitachi Energy is best in class for its business process systems. Last fiscal year, the company also reported record cash flow, profit, and revenue, making now the perfect time to show some appreciation.
“Oh, it’s great. You know, just to set aside three hours and take a breath and really look back at our accomplishments is what we’re trying to do, because we’ve got a big year ahead of us and we know we’re going to really press them, so just taking a minute to really be excited about what we’ve done,” continued Perine.
Despite some rain on Friday, those employees enjoyed an afternoon celebration full of camaraderie and fellowship. One weekend section lead, Samantha Riggle, said it was a communal effort to reach their goals.
“Lots of hard work, lots of dedication, lots of perseverance with our laborers and all of our people we have on the floor and in the office,” said Riggle.
Congratulations to Hitachi Energy!
