DPS debuts new mobile driver service station
Jackson, Miss. (WLBT) - The Department of Public Safety officially put their new driver service mobile station to use.
The new full service mobile station debuted in the parking lot of the department’s headquarters in Jackson Friday morning.
Drivers will be able to receive the same services at the mobile station as those of any driver service station across the area.
3 On Your Side first learned of the mobile station during the debut of the area’s newest driver service station in Canton.
The opening of that facility marked by a ribbon cutting earlier this month.
It is located at 152 Watford Parkway Drive off Commercial Parkway.
Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell says the mobile station can be helpful for communities after being impacted by natural disasters.
Officials will be able to bring their services to families when they need it most.
