For the third consecutive year, CNBC and Statista are identifying the World’s Top FinTech Companies, with results to be published in July. This year, we’re also excited to introduce a new list: UK’s Top FinTech Companies, with results expected to be released in September.
The finance sector is in the midst of a profound transformation, driven by the rapid rise of FinTech solutions revolutionizing money management, disrupting traditional banking, and reshaping finance through mobile payments, AI, and data analytics. The goal of this analyses is to shed light on this constantly growing and fast changing industry and provide readers, investors, and other stakeholders a comprehensive overview of the industry's leading players in various segments globally and in the UK.
The final top lists will be based on an aggregated scoring model rating each company based on the analysis and weighting of overarching and segment specific KPIs.
The application period runs from February 26 to April 25, 2025.

- Which companies are eligible?
To be considered for the top lists, a company must focus primarily on developing or providing innovative, technology-based and finance-related products and services. Only companies headquartered in the UK are eligible for the "UK's Top FinTech Companies" list.
- Do I have to pay to appear on the published lists?
No.
However, all winners interested in showcasing and advertising their achievement will have the opportunity to acquire the official "World's Top FinTech Companies 2025" / "UK's Top FinTech Companies 2025" logo to incorporate into their marketing strategy.
- Are the top lists funded by a FinTech company or commissioned by a specific customer?
No, the list is a journalistic publication, funded, directed, and supported by CNBC and Statista.
- How are the winning companies identified?
The final top lists will be based on an aggregated scoring model rating each company based on the analysis and weighting of overarching and segment specific KPIs.
