On March 7, Rock Center aired parts of an NBC report from 1962 where anchor Chet Huntley described a ‘new’ phenomenon called Spring Break. The report showed college students fiercely pursuing fun as they twisted, did the limbo and chugged beer. Rock Center dispatched four digital journalists to Daytona Beach and Hillsville, VA to catch up with some 1962 spring breakers. Rock Center’s Jessica Hopper reports.April 5, 2012
