Follow us into the trenches of the biggest game convention

E3
The Electronic Entertainment Expo brings more than 40,000 attendees to the Los Angeles Convention Center each year to see games and gadgets from more than 200 companies.E3/ESA

If you like video games, then you're going to love the coming week. The Electronic Entertainment Expo -- the biggest and possibly most important video game show of the year -- is about to get under way in Los Angeles.

Its a hard job covering E3, but someone's got to do it. That someone, in this case, is our own Todd Kenreck.Matt Rivera

We here at msnbc.com's In-Game blog are on hand and invite you to join us as we bring you breaking news, hands-on impressions of games, developer interviews  and everything in between.

The E3 trade show is traditionally the place where many of the biggest games and most important gaming devices are revealed by their creators. This year's E3 will fill the Los Angeles Convention Center with dazzling displays of new games, gadgets and other innovations from more than 200 industry representatives.

Technically speaking, the doors to E3 swing wide for three days from Tuesday, June 7, to Thursday, June 9. But the fun gets under way this morning when Microsoft begins its big E3 press conference at 9:30 a.m. Be sure to follow our live blog and coverage of the event.

And it doesn't stop there. Today Sony, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft are kicking things off with press conferences. Meanwhile on Tuesday morning, Nintendo will follow up its surprise Sunday evening Wii U presentation by unveiling its own closely guarded game secrets at a press conference.
