AT&T's all-you-can-stream buffet is getting a little more expensive. Customers with unlimited data plans, which the company no longer offers, will have to pay $5 more each month starting early next year.
Right now, the unlimited data plan costs $30 per month. In February, it will go up to $35, the company confirmed to CNBC. AT&T stopped offering the unlimited data plan in 2011.
"Our unlimited data plan customers continue to receive an incredible value, especially those taking advantage of our 4G LTE network," an AT&T spokesperson told CNBC.
Compared to other AT&T data options, $35 is a bargain. The current options include $30 for two gigabytes pf data and $50 for five gigabytes. None of those plans include talk and text minutes, which cost extra.
New customers looking for unlimited data plans won't find them at AT&T or Verizon. T-Mobile and Sprint do offer them, but slow speeds after a customer reaches his or her data limit.
