The race for an Oscar just took on a new meaning, with a free online video game where players chase a cartoon Leonardo DiCaprio down the red carpet in his quest for the ultimate acting accolade.
Leo’s Red Carpet Rampage is a new arcade-style “side-scroller” video game in the style of "Super Mario." Using the G and H keys and the space bar, players control a mini Leo as he rushes photographers, races against actors such as Eddie Redmayne (dressed as the Danish Girl), avoids Lady Gaga, and crawls into a Lamborghini (referencing his turn as the “Wolf of Wall Street”).
There are plenty of SAG awards and BAFTAs up for grabs along the way, but an Oscar win — well, that’s in your hands.
The 41-year-old actor is a five-time Academy Award nominee, and is — dare we say it — the favorite to win this year's Best Actor for his performance as the bear-fighting, raw-bison-liver-eating frontiersman Hugh Glass in "The Revenant."
