If you noticed a few glitches Thursday with Google's Drive, Docs, and other cloud-based productivity services, you weren't the only one.
The official Google Apps uptime tracker showed that a limited outage began at approximately 2 p.m. ET, and for some it was ongoing, making the duration of the unspecified "issue" more than four hours at the time of this posting.
Gmail was not affected.
Google's status dashboard said that "service has been restored for some users, and we expect a resolution for all users in the near future." The same message, however, was posted two hours earlier.
The last time this many Google services were made unavailable was just under a month ago, when most Google Apps were interrupted for as long as six hours.
We've reached out to Google for more information on the outage, and a representative pointed us to the status page but declined to comment further on the outage.
Update: Google's Apps Status Dashboard shows that all interrupted services have been restored as of 7:35 P.M. ET, making for a total outage of about 5.5 hours. Google also
