Only 32 percent of people in developing nations have access to the Internet, according to a new report from Facebook. Compare that to 78 percent in developed nations and 84 percent in connected countries like Germany and the United States. Overall, the growth rate at which people are adopting the Internet is slowing, according to Facebook's State of Connectivity report released on Tuesday. In 2014, that rate rose 6.6 percent, down from 14.7 percent in 2010. Most people who are connecting to the Internet for the first time are doing it via mobile phone, the report said. Worldwide, according to Facebook, 37.9 percent of the population used the Internet at least once last year.
