Starting Monday morning, Stephen Hawking will be taking questions on Reddit for longer than a week.
The Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) series has seen plenty of cool science celebrities as guests, including Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye. But users have regularly clamored for one above all others: Hawking.
Now the famous theoretical physicist is finally coming to Reddit, but with a twist. Instead of answering questions within a matter of hours, he will take questions from 8 a.m. ET on Monday through Aug. 4, and then answer them in the following weeks.
It's a way to let the 73-year-old Hawking — who was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) when he was 21 — take his time answering questions.
The AMA, which was organized by Nokia and WIRED magazine, will be hosted on the r/science subreddit. While Hawking will cover myriad subjects, the main focus will be on artificial intelligence, something he said could "spell the end of the human race."

Hawking has been busy lately, giving his blessing to billionaire Yuri Milner's $100 million project to search for alien life and giving props to NASA for the success of its New Horizons mission to Pluto.
