Twitter's Vine, which launched about three months ago, and its companion iOS app are a quick way to put together six-second videos and share them with the world. And with freshly added support for front-facing cameras, they make turning the camera on yourself a lot simpler.
"When creating a post, tap the button in the bottom left corner to try the front-facing camera," software engineer Kristian Bauer explains in a post announcing the update. "You can switch back and forth between the regular and front-facing camera as many times as you want."

If you're not familiar with Vine, don't fret: It's fairly simple to use. f you've got an iOS device, you can create and share Vine videos. All you have to do is point your iPhone (or iPod Touch) at something and press your finger to the screen to record a clip up to six seconds in length (both sound and motion are captured, of course). Once done, you can share it to Vine, Twitter and Facebook. You can also use the app to browse through popular videos and those featured as "Editor's Picks."
In addition to the new support for front-facing cameras, Vine now also allows users to mention others in posts. Just start typing something along the lines of @Username and then select one of the people suggested by the app. He or she will receive a notification about the mention once you make your post.
The updated version of Vine — version 1.1, in case you're wondering — can be downloaded from the Apple App Store now.
