It's easy to get lost in Instagram's photo galleries of cool pictures, and if you've had the urge to be able to "like" some of the shots and comment on them, now you can, and. The website for the mobile-centric app has gotten a touchup, so that users can do just that.

If that sounds similar to Facebook, it is. The social network is in the process of buying the photo social network for $1 billion.

While Instagram started out as an iPhone app, then recently added Android to the mix, its website has not been a key focus. Now with these changes, it may be more Web-friendly (also, notice the Facebook-like blue touches added to the site).

Users can also now log into Instagram's site from a desktop browser to edit their profiles.

The changes come after Instagram issued an iOS update earlier this week that includes speed optimizations, being able to share "likes" to Facebook, and being able to search for users and tags in the Explore tab.
