Anyone looking to invest in Fujifilm's new but growing X system of cameras and lenses has a slightly cheaper and slightly better starting option today than they did yesterday. The X-A2 brings some minor but welcome updates to 2013's X-A1, Fuji's cheapest interchangeable-lens camera. It has similar retro styling to its popular (and expensive) elder X-series brethren, and while it won't be as compact as the fixed-lens X100T and has no cool viewfinder like the X-T1, it might be a good way to test out the controls and lens family before investing thousands.
The X-A2's main improvement is an LCD that tilts both down and all the way up — for selfies, of course. Autofocus has also been improved, and there are a few new color-tweaking options. It will come with a brand new lens to Fuji's lineup, a 16-50mm F/3.5-5.6 zoom with optical stabilization — a nice all-purpose lens for newcomers. The X-A2 will cost $550 with the lens when it ships in February.
