Wearable devices generally used to track health and exercise stats revealed unintended insights about disrupted sleep during the Napa earthquake this past weekend. According to Jawbone, which makes a fitness tracker called Up, the earthquake woke 93 percent of people wearing the company's sleep-tracking device in four cities located less than 15 miles from the quake's epicenter. And 45 percent of the Up wearers in that 15-mile radius -- in Napa, Sonoma, Vallejo and Fairfield -- stayed awake the rest of the night after the quake hit at 3:20 a.m. local time. Further out, in San Francisco and Oakland, only 55 percent of Up wearers woke up. The 6.0 magnitude earthquake was the worst to hit California's Bay Area in 25 years.
