Apple on Tuesday released the application development kit for its upcoming Apple Watch. Called the "WatchKit," the software will allow developers to begin working on apps for the forthcoming wearable device. "Apple Watch is our most personal device ever, and WatchKit provides the incredible iOS developer community with the tools they need to create exciting new experiences right on your wrist," Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said in a press release. The announcement also quoted executives from ESPN, American Airlines and Instagram about their plans to use the Apple Watch. Apple has said its wearable gadget will be available early next year but hasn't provide a firm launch date.
