On the Hunt for Flight 370: Navy P-8's Foggy Search for Debris

A Navy plane flew as low as 200 feet over the Indian Ocean on Monday, searching for debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, but was stymied by dense fog and turned back without finding anything.

The crew picked up dolphins on radar and at one point banked to check out what looked like rope but turned out to be a clump of seaweed.

NBC News’ chief global correspondent, Bill Neely, was aboard the plane — the P-8 Poseidon — for a firsthand look.
