Zsa Zsa Gabor: The Glamour Queen's Life in Pictures
Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Hungarian beauty queen-turned-nine-times-married Hollywood icon died Sunday at 99 from a heart attack.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was born Sari Gabor in Budapest in 1917. She studied at a Swiss boarding school and moved into singing and acting in Europe by the 1930s.

Three generations of Gabors gathered in Vienna's Hotel Sacher to take this 1955 portrait. From left, the top row shows Magda, the sisters' mother Jolie, and Eva. The bottom row features Zsa Zsa, the sister's father Vilmos, and Zsa Zsa's daughter, Francesca. The three Gabor sisters have 20 marriages among them, but Francesca, daughter of Zsa Zsa and hotel baron Conrad Hilton, is the only child of any of them.

Gabor, center, had a small role as a strip-club owner in Orson Welles' famed 1958 crime drama, "Touch of Evil." The film's famed opening sequence, three and a half minutes of a continuous shot following a bomb placed into a car, is considered one of the greatest long shots ever filmed.

Jim Backus, who played millionaire Thurston Howell III on "Gilligan's Island," shared a scene with Gabor in 1965. She played Erika Tiffany Smith, a fellow millionaire who wants to buy the castaways' island. The Skipper develops a crush on Smith, but she only has eyes for the Professor.

Zsa Zsa's youngest sister, Eva, left, had an acting career of her own, starring as the city socialite thrust into country life in "Green Acres." Like her sisters, she wed often. Eva Gabor was married five times. When she passed away in 1995 at age 76, her mother was still living. Jolie Gabor would die at age 100 in 1997, but was never aware her daughter had passed away.

Later in life, Gabor made the news for a 1989 incident where she slapped a Beverly Hills policeman who stopped her for a traffic violation. She claimed he had sworn at her. She served 72 hours in jail and numerous legends, true or not, have sprung up about her time there. It was claimed she said she had to "bathe in Evian water" and that her release from jail was delayed 15 minutes so she could put on her makeup.

Gabor has been married nine times, wedding Frederick Von Anholt in 1986. Her third husband, George Sanders, later married her older sister Magda, but just for six weeks. A famous story claims that Gabor was once asked how many husbands she'd had, to which she is said to have replied, "You mean, besides my own?"
