A flight from England to Slovakia was diverted after a group of men celebrating a bachelor party got too rowdy, according to police.

The Ryanair flight from London to Bratislava Friday was diverted to Berlin after a group men celebrating the rite of passage got out of hand, officials said.

German police said in a statement on Saturday that the men were drunk and interfering with the safety of the other 164 passengers on board and wouldn't listen to the flight crew.

Upon landing in Berlin, six men, ages 25 to 28, — out of a dozen in the party on the flight in all — were detained on misdemeanor charges, according to police. The groom was one of the men arrested.

The men, from Southampton, could face fines of up to 25,000 euros (about $27,300) and could also be sued by the airline, according to police.

"We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behavior at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority," Ryanair said in a statement to NBC News on Sunday.
